WIAW and my first run in 3.5 weeks

Yesterday was supposed to be my first workout in 3.5 weeks since my surgery. My little one got sick, and no one slept. Well, except for my daughter, who will sleep through a hurricane. Oh and hubby, who was on the other side of the house.

Workout: 3 miles on the dreadmill. Slow and easy is the name of the game. Then I did supersets of bi's and tri's. I threw in a few lunges. Workout done. I watched my heart rate and it was much higher than it is normally, for what is usually an easy workout. I didn't go cray cray. I know I am not where I was. I will get there. No rush.


I think I better bring an oxygen tank with me to spin class this week.  On to food, here's what I ate.

Breakfast: Egg whites, oats with bb & coffee.


Post workout: strawberry banana smoothie with oats

While at the playround I nibbled on a few of these.

Mid-afternoon snack: HB egg whites, apple

While making dinner I snacked on these:

Dinner: grilled chicken, quinoa, veggies

After dinner, I was still hungry. I made some carrot protein  muffins. I ate two. Sounds good, right? They are ok, I need to tweak it a little. I think they are "cooler 1" approved for those of you that eat clean. If you are on cooler one, these are a total treat. At 110 calories at 7g of protein, it's mine.

Then I made some green tea.
