We recently went to a wedding in California, last week to be exact. I cannot believe how insanely busy I have been. Getting the kids ready for school is stressful enough, then throw in some work projects, and vacation. Blogging has been put on the backburner, unfortunately. Here's to catching up!
We left our house at 6am and picked up coffee and oatmeal at starbucks. Once on the plane, I had a cliff bar. We landed in Chicago and had a 2 hour layover and headed to the nearest restaurant. I had a mediterranean wrap from Pot Bellies. It was pretty good.
Once we landed in LA, I snacked on some M&M's and we headed to get the rental car. We had an hour and a half drive to Temecula. LA traffic stinks! I munched on some almonds, hoping we would stop for dinner soon. Traffic was so bad I just wanted to get to Temecula. I don't know how anyone lives there. After being on the road forever, we decide to stop for food. I was glad, because I was starting to feel queasy and felt a headache coming on. It was a buffet. I don't like buffets. They give me the heebie-jeebies. Anyone else?
I ate a whole plate of fruit. I was craving fruit and veggies. Funny how you will crave what you are lacking. Except for chocolate. Why do we crave chocolate? What? Only me?
We ate at 5:30, which was 8:30 Florida time. I always try to eat before 6 normally. That probably explains my headache.
The time change really messed up our sleeping and eating habits. I am proud to say I didn't gain any weight after being gone for 5 days. More tips on that to come. I do have some workouts to talk about and how to plan to eat healthy while away from home.
Any tips on healthy eating while on vacation?
Or does healthy eating go out the window?
